We looked at a giant mural of Southampton

We walked along the old city walls and looked out at the docks

We visited the ruins of Holyrood Church that was bombed during WW2

We visited the oldest building in use in Southampton; St Michael’s Church

Spring Term 2017


We found out Hamtun was the old Saxon name for Southampton

We have been taught dance by a dance teacher from Wildern School

We composed dances to represent the different rock types

We performed our dances; surprisingly we didn’t dance to ‘rock’ music!

We got mucky hands making Stone Age pots.

We tested out our wattled fence, it was strong.

We performed an archaeological dig and found artefacts.

We made Stone Age pots from clay dug from the ground.

We made shadow puppet shows from play scripts we wrote.

We made wattled fences like Stone Age farmers.

We learned topic themed dances with a teacher from Wildern. .
