Year 3 Topic Work

Below you can see what exciting curriculum activities we have been taking part in in Spring 2019 - click a picture to enlarge it.


We went on a trip to Butser Farm.

In RE we learnt about the Easter Story and re-enacted it.

In maths we represented fractions in our groups.

We held a magnificent drum concert for our parents.

Year 3 Spring Term


We made Roman style rings.

In DT we have been sewing our own roman purses.

In science we experimented with sweets and fizzy drinks.

We had fun designing our own mosaics.

We made collages of soldiers during our Inspire Peace project.

In Science we learnt about rocks and soil and made our own edible soil, showing the different layers.

Our History topic was learning about the Stone Age. We made cave paintings and thought about how we could survive in the Stone Age.

As a group we made Advent candles to show he different meanings of the candles.

Year 3 Autumn Term 2018


In maths we have been using different strategies to support our multiplication and division skills.

In Science we explored the properties and types of rocks.

To learn about the rule of law within British values, We played Christmas snakes and ladders. We discussed how we must follow the rules to make it fair. .

We acted in role as WW1 soldiers during their time in the trenches, as part of our Inspire Peace project. .
