We all get sick sometimes, but it's important to let the school office know as soon as possible.

Reporting an absence

Report an illness

If you know your child is going to be absent from school due to illness, you must phone the school office and leave a message on the absence line before 9am:

Absence line
Telephone: 023 8090 0995

In the case of sickness or diarrhoea, your child will not be able to return to school until 48 hours after their last bout.

Warning Please do not email about an absence due to illness because we can't guarantee to process the information before 9am.

Report a medical appointment

  • If your child will be in late due to a medical appointment, you must phone the school office and leave a message on the absence line before 9am on the day, or notify us in advance.

  • If your child is having a school dinner on that day please ensure this has been ordered in advance via your Aspens account.

  • If you know your child has an appointment during the day and will need to leave early, please let our school know in advance so the teacher can be notified.

Planned leave of absence

Exceptional circumstances leave request form

If you plan to take your child out of school for a day out/holiday during term time, then you must complete a leave of absence request form in advance.

Printed leave of absence request forms can be found in the letter rack at our office, or downloaded and returned using the steps below:

  1. Download leave of absence form (.docx)
  2. Return completed form to our school office (website)
Warning You can only take your child out of school if your request for leave of absence has been authorised, otherwise you could receive a fine.
